Franchise

A destination flagship, not a unit rollout.

Bisou is a French fine-dining restaurant in a standalone building on Dubai Opera Plaza. We are opening conversations with a small number of premium partners in GCC and international capitals.

The concept

French fine dining with a Middle Eastern accent, in a room people photograph.

The kitchen is built on French technique carrying a Middle Eastern accent, and it runs a full day: breakfast from 09:00 through to 16:00, à la carte lunch and dinner, and a set business lunch.

The room is the second asset. Interiors by AD100 designer Tristan Du Plessis, across two floors, with al fresco seating. The design is the reason a large share of guests arrive already knowing what the restaurant looks like.

Why it travels

A landmark format with three revenue lines under one roof.

Bisou is not a single dining service. À la carte trades from morning to midnight; a licensed bar operates its own list; and and a private-events business closes the mezzanine, or the whole venue, for a single party — the kind of contribution that changes the economics of a fine-dining site.

The category travels. French fine dining with a regional accent reads in every GCC capital and in most international ones, and the credentials are portable: AD Middle East, The National and Harper's Bazaar Arabia have all covered the Dubai original.

The group

Bisou is one of four Metafoodies concepts.

Metafoodies Group operates Bisou and Alba at Dubai Opera Plaza, the Himitsu bar inside Alba, and Alba Street at Dubai Mall. A partner interested in one is often a plausible partner for another.

  • Alba Contemporary Japanese, Dubai Opera Plaza
  • Himitsu The secret bar at Alba
  • Alba Street Counter-format Japanese, Dubai Mall

What is the total investment?

We do not publish investment figures, fees or projected returns. The full financial model is released after an NDA, at the franchise-pack stage of the process.

Which territories are available?

We are speaking to partners across the GCC and in international capitals. Tell us the city you have in mind and we will tell you where it stands.

What kind of site does Bisou need?

A landmark position — a cultural or retail address with real footfall and a room that can carry the design. The Dubai original is a standalone building on a cultural plaza, but the format adapts: floor count and covers are not fixed. We will review a specific site with you.

Do I need a fine-dining background?

You need an operating hospitality background and the capability to run a licensed venue. The culinary system, training and an opening team come from us.

Is this a multi-unit rollout?

No. Bisou is a destination flagship format. We are looking for a small number of premium partners, not unit density.

How long does the process take?

It varies by market and site. The stages are set out above; the qualification call and NDA usually move quickly, and territory and site review is the longest step.
